Do it gradually. And cross train. Don’t bike every day, prob max 3 times a week for first few months. Even just working on weight machines at the gym and building your way up from 15 mins of cardio/heart rate to 30-40-50 mins, will help you get up those hills faster and with less effort and you can re over faster. Also good for the body to have various methods of building the body back.
I would go with that ^^^^^^^^^^^^
