^ I know what you’re saying, but auction is different than buying outright. The way eBay does the “make offer” feature along with an auction item is confusing . This is a recent thing they started not too long ago . Like your friends, if someone was SELLING and put make offer , I would always come in at what I would pay for an item. But , when an item is for auction, the sale is usually higher than the opening bid. To me , an auction item doesn’t need a make offer feature.
