I have both the MKS and QR Wellgo pedals. The MKS spin great the Wellgos not so much. Does either impact pedaling....no. The Wellgo are on my fast bike and don't slow me down. MKS on my Dahon don't make me pedal faster...now grip...they are the best for regular footwear. Wellgo's are hybrids but I am cautious when riding through downtown Boston to meet buddies for lunch in Sperrys.

Come to think of it I might be the only one riding a Chameleon in Sperrys.
