New bikes are cool and technology has marched on by and large for the better. That said, I like to fix up old bikes and ride them. My last two bikes are a 1979 Trek 510 (low temp silver brazed, complete Ishiwata 022 tubing) that I paid $150 for and a 1992 Stumpjumper (prestige main triangle) that I bought for $125. I'd have no issues leaning them against my lawnmower but it's an old school push mower that isn't all that bulky so I'd better not,
