I ride PGs- Can't compare them to clipless ('cause I haven't tried clipless), but I like them well enough that I haven't gone to clipless. I regularly ride 60 milers, have done the Columbia Mo. MS150 (hilly), and done a 117 mile century with them. I regulary ride hills- keep up with some, pass some, get dropped by some using clipless. My opinion so far? If you ain't racing, they should be fine for a good long time. And I really like being able to move my feet around from time to time, and get off and walk around in nice comfy tennies.
