Replacement Brake Levers

Hi, I'm amassing my parts to start swapping on my conversion, but i'm a little stuck on the appropriate brake levers. I want to replace the old grip brakes from the drops, and just have some regular levers on the flats, but keep the drop bars. The bike has DiaCompe brakes on it now, and I'm planning to keep them for the moment. They seem to work ok, and still fit, even with a 700c rim.
I had originally ordered a set of Avid FR5 levers, but learned right after, that they are for V brakes, and wouldn't work with canti or road style brake...trying to find something appropriate that won't "break" the bank.
my handlebars are 22.2mm diameter.
