1936 Schwinn Henderson Restoration

Hi, I currently have a 36 Schwinn Henderson at home with all the original parts (even tires and pedals). The problem is some of the parts need rechroming as they're down to bare metal and the temporary silver paint finish I put on them is wearing. Has anyone been able to chrome parts at home for bikes? If not what did you pay to have the work done? The painted portion is in decent condition but much of the chrome is totally gone. Any leads?

Also I'm looking for color charts or photos of properly painted pre war Henderson badges as well as photos of pre war Hendersons that have been restored so I can get an idea of coloration and paint schemes. Thanks for the help.
