Between the letters of the technical markings there is usually a number

It is the height of the seat tube measured centro-centro (must be in Italian) or c-c
As the standard EMC frames were built (depending on the model it varied) in the range of 47-64 cm it worked like this:

0 - 50 or 60 cm
1 - 51 or 61 cm
2 - 52 or 62 cm
3 - 53 or 63 cm
4 - 54 or 64 cm
5 - 55 cm
6 - 56 cm
7 - 47 or 57 cm
8 - 48 or 58 cm
9 - 49 or 59 cm
