Both are in somewhat rough shape and have their flaws. The Bottecchia has some rusty areas. Both are just riders at this point. I've never had an Italian bike. Given their prices and conditions which bike is the better deal?
I ended up with both of these bikes… they both needed work, but between the two I ended up with a nice mostly period correct de rosa. If I would have gotten a ready to ride de Rosa for the price of what I paid for both bike, plus some spare parts, I’d have been ok with that.
