The issue that I think might exist (if you believe RnR's marketing), is that the liberal dousing with their lube, puts enough liquid on the chain to flush and carry out any grime inside. Sporadic drops will get into the chain, but you lose the self-cleaning aspect. OTOH, I suppose you could remove the chain once in a while, and do an OMS clean in a shaker bottle instead.
