Depends on what you want. The 5000 is carbon, right? Whereas the 1500 is Aluminum. Just depends on your personal preferance, and what kind of riding you want to do. Personally, if the groups are the same, the 1500 is also a very nice bike.
Is he offering the frame warranty if you buy the 5000? If so, it may be worth it.
