I replaced the Xero "lite" XR-03 wheels with hand built Salsa Delgado X/105 customs...those things aren't light but they are about as bombproof as you can get....that MUST be where all the added weight comes from.
It's a running joke from an earlier thread; guy claims his commuter weighs 14.5 pounds. And he wanted advice on how to further reduce the weight.
