I've been debating doing a triathlon with "old school" equipment just for the fun of it. But one that's actually targeted for old school sounds great. When my wife and I restarted triathlons after a 15 year hiatus we competed in a splash and dash. After the race we were mingling and talking to old friends and then my wife came up to me and said "we're the only two people wearing speedos". I hadn't even noticed that everything changed not just the bikes.
