Input on Rocky Mountain Bikes

Im sorry for posting a lot lately, however would like more input than I got before. I can get a good deal on a Rocky Mountain Edge Frame. It is all an all mountain frame (4 inches of rear), and the frame retails for 1500 according to a LBS. I can get the frame very cheap, but before I buy it, I was wondering what RM owners think of the suspension. The mechanic at the LBS claimed that the 3D Link design doesnt bob at all and climbs amazingly. However, a few reviews on MTBR claim the suspension reacts with the pedal strokes greatly, something I would like to avoid. I know when people write reviews, each person has differnt specs such as weight and so on, but being able to pedal efficiently is pretty important to me. I am about 120 lbs. The bike will be used for XC and Aggresive XC. Another thing is, is 6lbs for this frame heavy for what this bike was meant for? It seems a little much, as I was trying to build a relativley light bike. But any input would be wonderful.
Thanks again,
Byron
