To be honest, I wasn't very upset when Eroica Cali was cancelled last year. I was much more looking forward to the Touroica credit card tour and wasn't disappointed. I go for the people, and honestly, a 1000 rider event is actually a slight deterrent for me. I end up seeing my friends and ride with them. Last year we came up with our own "Fauxroica" ride.

I think that if you want to do Eroica California, sign up, and unless, as Doc suggests "the world is ending", we don't absolutely need no stinking "official" event to do this ride.
