I believe you were working in the Bekins building shop when Alan had left a nearly unsalvageable wheel for me to true, as an entrance exam.
Alan did begrudgingly give me Saturday 24 June off so that I could ride in the L.A. Wheelmen double century.
I don't really remember you, but I remember a kid named Kirk or Kurt. His last name was something like Hasserjian, and an older ( 20's) guy named Kelly, who I think was sort of the senior mechanic. So long ago. We old. At the end of that year I went back to NYC to go to school. I think I worked for Alan the next summer when I came back for a while. We got into an argument about something and he fired me!
