Just in case people come into this thread for serious advice, I agree with those who just say "hi" on their way by and then continue at their own pace. If the woman wants a friend, they will respond with a conversation starter... "nice weather for a ride, huh?", "how far are you going?", etc. If they just say "hi" back, they're probably not interested.
