I can't see that Somec ever had a 'Comet' model in their catalogs, but you can double check here:

The welds around the BB shell compared to the other welds suggests to me there's been a fairly major repair done at some point. Possibly that's when the Somec decals were applied.
If it's not a repair, it's definitely not Somec level of frame finish.
