Are you sure you have had a NR rear derailleur with a "68" stamp?
I am positive. As I recall, 1967 was when the numbering stamping began. I probably have a picture but not easy to access right now. Many of my pictures are on disc at my summer cottage and it is snowed in for another couple of weeks. And I do mean snowed in.
