1974 Paramount P-10 Part II

This past week I finally tore down the Paramount that I first posted here 3 1/2 years ago :
74 Paramount P-10

As I gathered parts for the re-build I found myself moving towards its original configuration, so as much as I liked the drilled brake levers that came with the Carrera sidepulls, a pair of quick-release levers and centerpull brakes ended up in the parts box.
As found:

I found a 26T Schwinn freewheel and 1974 NR RD, but for now I'm sticking with the 32T and the LeTour GT300

It is a pleasure working on a bike of this quality. Some tear-down photos:

Early 531 decal

Fork crowns are flat on this one. There is no brazed-on pib to keep the downtube shifters from slipping.

Matching serial number on the fork

Noticed this stamp while soaking the stem bolt with penetrating oil.

The brazing transitions are really smooth.

Lugs after a little bronze wool. Still need to use some cleaner wax on the paint.
