We had an awful heat wave last year and I rode home in 106F temps. I went S L O W! My usual time home is around 70 minutes. I was 90 minutes in and still 4 miles from home. I should of called my wife, my HR hit 189 and I never went above 150watts basically Z1. In retrospect that was a bad idea.

I’d say my commutes generally go from March through October. Lots of commutes in May/June as I hit my stride. I like long early morning commutes but they can wipe me out.
ya I had one day is was 113 or 115 last year crazy weather in the PNW. my commute is 8 miles and I have a mid drive e bike and I kept the assist far higher and watched my HR and still had to stop 1/2 way for a quart of cold drink at a convince store. my garmin showed the pavement t 130 degrees.
