Do you take it off????

Just wondering, do you guys work on suspension forks on or off the bike. I always leave them on, and someone asked me why I don't remove them from the frame to work on them. I replied with "cause it takes longer". But is there a good reason to remove suspension forks from the frame to work on them(changing oil/seals)
