Today's finish was an absolute failure by the sprinters' teams to take control and bring the race back together for the finish. Jumbo wasn't trying to win the stage, and had no reason to reel in the break. All they needed to do was keep Jonas safe. The other teams allowed Jumbo to sit on the front and dictate the pace for most of the closing Ks. The few efforts by the other teams were unorganized and mediocre. Today's win was a savvy move by a veteran who recognized an opportunity that played to his strengths, and his gamble paid off.
