2mm allen to adjust the 'support screw'. And to correct the Shimano manual not all frames require the backup plate. With some frames the screw hits the braze-on mount itself, so no plate needed. On some frames that read is reinforced, like Trek. They have said for years the plate is not needed. Since there is a 'support screw' you'd be mixing things up to call the clamp or mounting screw by the same name.
