...I'm willing to concede that standards in places like Burlington, Iowa might be different. I could only see one traffic signal in that shot of downtown, and the main fire station (one of two), is located in close proximity to it. Maybe the guys who drive your ambulances don't go through many intersections at all ? Still, your best bet at finding out for certain is that citizen firefighter training school, and you seem resistant to the idea of attending. So I guess we'll never know for sure.
