Im still a newbee rider, my bike is a All City Space horse, gravel bike……And I go against the trend and dont use clipless pedals. I may eventually switch to clipless, but Im comfortable with my current speed of averaging between 15-17 MPH while wearing my running shoes.
Very cool. Seems you are enjoying your new career. Clipless is a game changer. Make sure the shoes fit.
I'm 64 doing 160 miles a week commuting plus my weekend ride(s) totaling 50 - 150 as I prepare for a SR series.
