I'm 71. Couple of brain surgeries and double cancer survivor. And try to ride 100mi/wk in Cascade foothills for 8-9mo/year. The other 3-4 months the goal is to ski and ride occasionally with no mileage ambitions. If assisted pedaling inspires me to ride and allows me to climb the road home - then I'm happy as a pig in shat to keep pedaling with the intensity needed to survive on the roads.
I've crashed on enough motorcycles (many decades ago) to know the difference between types of 'bikes'. Old folks with mental flexibility and experiential knowledge rule.
