If you spray the paint into a cup (or even the cap to the spray can) it will start with very low viscosity which is good for wicking into shorelines. As the carrier evaporates the paint will become thicker and it is better for filling chips.
Great idea! I'll do that instead. Well, at the hobby shop for the Testor's I might buy both. BTW, how long you you usually need to wait for the sprayed paint to thicken?
