Years ago a group ride had stopped while a guy worked on a flat tire. A kid came by in a car and killed him. The kid admitted he had dropped a cassette on the floor and was searching for it.
A sheriff deputy crossed into the bike lane and killed Milt Olin and it was revealed he was texting a friend on his computer. No disciplinary action was taken because they said using that computer was part of his job.
Another kid killed a cyclist near here and admitted he was downloading ring tones on his phone.
