We eat at 5:30 now generally. 10 and 11 year old girls with lots of evening activities. When they’re with their mom we generally eat later.
We go to bed at 9:15 and get up at 4:30 generally as well.
I admire this approach - but unfortunately we were not even close
many periods during the year we/kids would not get home until 8:30 or so - then shower - then eat - and then often homework (that was not finished earlier in the day)
bus arrived early the next morning (before 7 am) - so often bypassed the bus and drove them to school
