When I was 13-16 I hung out in the canyon where I ended up living in 2000-2016. There was a small grocery store run by a man and his wife. It was all wood shingles with a wooden floor. They had meat, liquor, and there was nothing near there like it. They had a red Coca Cola case out front which you just opened and grabbed a bottle of your choice and carried it into the store to pay.

One night in about 1969 or 70 some *******s kicked the door down at night and stole all the liquor and cigarettes they could carry. The store closed after that. He was really upset and felt betrayed. We all knew who did it but nothing happened to them.

People are living in the building now and I took a picture of it last year when I rode by.
