I understand the logic. They are appealing to people who are trying to lose weight. However, I always thought that the whole point of drinking energy drinks as opposed to say...water was specifically to replace carbohydrates that you burn while exercising. More to the point, isn't it true that consuming sugar while or immediately after exercise works to replace glycogen stores that are burned off? (as opposed to turning into fat) I don't know it just seems to me like they are appealing to people who don't seem to know how these things work.
