Any opinions on whether this type of tubing is suitable for touring bikes? For example, the Rodriguez Ultimate Travel bike (
http://www.rodcycle.com/) says this year it is a pound lighter because it is built with OX Platinum. Is this a good thing? Is this tubing lighter because it has thinner walls, and if so does that mean it would be more prone to accidental damage as a tourer?
