The Peugeot logo on the top tube places it around 1983. It's mid-range and may have a Maillard Helicomatic rear hub and that's not good.
I wasn't kidding about my Hungarian being rusty. My maternal grandmother spoke nothing but Hungarian. Actually, I hardly remember a word. I do remember that my last name, Kerekes means something like wheelwright. I should have been a wheel builder.
