First of all, it actually is very easy to bunny hop when clipped in. I've been riding clipless for about 3 months and yesterday was the first time I even thought about bunny hopping & the bike just picked right up off the street with very little effort.

Second of all, I have the Mallet Cs and don't really like em. If you're already decided, then fine. If not, consider this...

The egg beater portion of the pedals seem to be fine. However, those giant platforms have proven to be worse than useless. First of all, you'll never use them with city shoes. It's not really even possible because of how far the clips stick up. Second of all, the platforms actually make it much harder to clip in if you have any tread on your shoes, because it forces you to be much more accurate in order to actually find the clips.

I just found a set of plain ole egg beaters (the barebones ones) two days ago for half price & they're a world easier to use than the mallets.
