I'll take it.
It does take some adjustment to riding in heat of 100 or more
(ok, read 38 for you celcius types). Thankfully we get
at least 2 days of spring before plunging headlong into summer.
Honestly, I think you did the right thing. Too many
people underestimate the heat and end up in trouble with
heat exhaustion, dehydrated etc.
