One must upgrade to $600 dallors wheels and $150 for Ultegra pedals. $1700 + 600 +150 = $2150 to get the OCR and the TCR where they should be.

The components on the Giants are not Ultegras through and through. Which really bummed me out! Which takes me back to the Cannondale CAAD R1000, which does come with Ultegra through and through with $600 dallors wheels to boot at $1700. Thus far, the R1000 looks really good to me. But I have not had the chance to ride any of these bicycles for a two hour ride either.

Tomorrow I'm going to take a look at the LeMond and Specialized and see where $1700~$1900 territory gets me. On another note, I looked at Jamis too. If you look in the higher stratosphere, Jamis has some really sweet road bikes...

Peace

Point about any bike is the heart of the bike. Giant do fall down on their components a bit but bikes are for upgrading too. The giant Frames are some of the best around. I recently looked at the OCR's and was not impressed- funnily enough- mainly on weight, but could have been tempted by the TCR's. Finished up with an SCR in preference to the OCR- but I am at the lowest end of the price scale. Do not know the LeMond bikes but Specialised have some very good bikes in their range.
