bag fetish

I bought another bag. I think I have more bags than Imelda Marcos has shoes. The newest one is the Jandd Mountain III seat bag.

As usual, I like the new bag. I wanted to add some light weight load carrying capability to my "fast summer commuter" SS road bike conversion. Didn't want the weight of a rack. Wanted to be able to remove it easily on race day (yeah right ).

Used it on the way to work this morning. Fits a change of clothes, lunch, lock, keys, and wallet. Would never fit a thermos or laptop computer in there.

It's a different shape than I thought. The pictures on Jandd's sight make it look mostly round. It's actually long and skinny, though. It fits well on my bike. I'm not using the elastic straps that are supposed to extend to the chainstays. Some flopping side to side won't bother me.

Its a little bigger than the large waist pack I have been using most of the summer. I use a messenger bag with this bike when I want to carry more stuff (like a thermos or laptop).
