Also, a Campy 10 shifter and 10 der. will shift a 9spd Shimano cassette just fine. You just have to watch out for the limit screws so that you don't shift the chain into the spokes. I speak of both of these thing on a personal basis, as I have used both setups with no problems.

I did not know that the 10spd campy and 10spd shimano cassette spacing is that close. Thanks for the tip as I'm currently upgrading my shimano bike to campy!!!
