I just scored a set for my SS/fixie hardtail for $180, the double like yours. They look extremely funny on an XC hardtail but it was a killer deal compared to the MSRP. Plus now that the little ring is removed they made an excellent crankset for my SS Trek. I could have gone lighter but most of my drivetrain is gone anyway. Also I use this bike as my all-mountain SS and it sees some light urban riding when I'm bored on campus between classes so I wanted a stout crankset. The strength to wheight ratio is what sold me, a bit heavier but, man, are they bullet proof.
