still slips new freewheel new chain

Ok So I replaced the chain and freewheel. I upgraded from a 6 speed to a seven speed. Shifts like butter most of the time, quiet as can be then out of nowhere as I start to hammer up a hill I get slippage in the smaller gears. I have a friction , downtube shifters. I figure the problem rest with the chain(kink) though running it backwards I get a smooth run. RD might be the problem but me thinks that slipping would happen everywhere. Could it be the cables?? What y'all think? Tonight I will check each and every linkage of the chain then I'll be clueless. Might the front chainrings be the problem.? They 'look' good. Thanks Charlie
