www.sram.com has a lot of pdf covering different SRAM components. Look under technical. Nashbar might have some of these. SRAM makes two series, one compatible with Shimano type RD, the other compatible with SRAM RD. One pair I had lasted about 13k miles before getting flaky. They do wear out eventually and get flaky in the indexing, start to slip and won't hold position. They are incredibly easy to disassemble but there is not much fixable inside, hardly anything to it, very simple mechanism. Unless it is dirty you best start casting about for a replacement.
