I have the U.S.E. Alien alloy version, which is the same design with same seat clamp as the carbon, and I do agree that mounting the saddle was a chore - you can't even mount the saddle with the seatpost installed. That being said, and ingoring the hastle for the moment, it is a great post and I really like mine which is why I recommended the carbon version to the OP.
