actually in va. state parks there is a pooper scooper rule for horses too and in most it IS enforced as there are rangers patrolling the trails and if a horse is seen taking a dump ad the rider does not pick it up or scoop it off the trail they are ticketed.
the park I ride most in ( Petersburg National Battlefield) has more hose traffic on weekeds than all other users combined throughout the entire week so horse droppings are prevelent in dry weather. I figure its just another obstacle to avoid or bunnyhop
I dont know what some of the owners have been feeding them as some seem to have been having the stinky squirts lately and not the usual brown hay that turns ito grass in a few days. its NASTY
Ive said it before and Ill say it again, the days of multi use trails here in the States are becoming the norm and not the exception.
