I have had a Sarthe for 18 months and 7000 miles. Love it. There are a couple of things to pay attention to however. The Lemond geometry is not for everyone and traditionally you will need a size small than you might think you traditionally ride. Also the Sarthe I have has campy shifting which is great but they used Truvativ cranks (with the Bontrager name) and there is a finish problem after several months of use. Lemond replaced the crank set for me one day short of a year warranty. Now 6 months later the problem is back. I have seen other post on this particular issue.

Other than that the Sarthe is a super bike. Very nice traditional steel ride with the added benefit of strategically placed carbon components and super nice wheels (Bontrager Race Lite). My vote would always be for the best fit. If that were equal the Sarthe is my pick.
