I went up baldy up to the ski lift with 39x25 last Saturday, it would have been nice if I had a another gear, but I didnt kill my self, so hopefully it should be enough for this event. I hope I do ok, not expecting anything, just trying something different from endless crits which I suck at. If I dont do well, oh well, Im going to Vegas to shoot some dice at the craps tables anyway.
My guess, is that if you made it to the lifts with a 25, that you'll be fine doing Mt Charleston with one. I normally use a 27 for Baldy, I think no matter what you use, you'll be looking for more on that last stretch. I'll give you a recon report tomorrow.
