I ride a 2005 Specialized Allez Elite that features the rear hub mentioned in the title. During a 60 mile ride Saturday I hear, intermittenly, some unsettling noise from the hub. I'm pretty sure it's coming from the hub due to the fact that the noise is present during coasting. Actually, it seems louder during coasting. When I returned home and spun the wheel by hand I believe I may have heard/felt some "grittiness" in the bearings.

Is this a cup and cone hub I wonder? Is it as easy to repair as, let's say, my late '70's Schwinn? Also, how similar to the Shimano 105 is my hub, could I use their exploded drawings as reference?
