The cycling caps do a good job of keeping rain off of your glasses in wet weather.
However I find it difficult to wear one when I also need additional warmth. If there was a cheap visor available then I would be interested.
I tried the clear face shield a couple years ago but had the following problems:
The shield did not quite clear my glasses so it applied pressure to the frames making them uncomfortable (I need my glasses to see).
It caused my glasses to fog under most conditions I was interested in using the shield.
The shield would fog and rain would cause the shield to be very difficult to see through.

I think the clear visors like the Louis Garneau shield are best used with thier aero TT helmet and not for commuting.
