You don't know, I'll be climbing on my recumbent. Lowland should be doable in 5 to 5.5 hours, highland will take me a good two hours to get over the stuff in the beginning, then watch out. We should hook up for a weekend ride around here sometime. Here are all of my routes so far. Oh, I've got to pick up my powertap in/around Camarillo after the ride so I wouldn't be waiting too long, and I fear you'd be waiting on me if I did the double metric. Torrey is an average of 8mph on the bent.

Saturday I'll be doing the Cyclo-Vets ride starting from Mission Valley. I'm thinking of joining, they've got a good program or two, and you get access to Arnie Baker. Starting in October, he has them doing climbing training out in east county.
