XT Cranks (760) Question
I just purchased a pair of XT 760 cranks off eBay and the PDF file from Shimano says to "push in a stopper plate and then tighten bolts" for the non-drive side crank arm. I cannot find this "stopper plate" and I am unclear what it is for from the PDF instructions. I have a 68mm that I assume is the "Band Type" since I don't recognize the "Bracket Type" also on the instructions. The washer set up looks simple enough, however mine came with three black washers that I think are the 2.5mm but I'm not sure. The instructions have three different thicknessess and all I have is three of the one thickness.
Anyone help me out here? Trying to get my new frame built up in the near future.
Plus, how important is correct torque? I've never used any sort of torqe wrench before and never had any problems, but I'm thinking that may not be such a good idea with my new build.
